And another year has passed …

First and foremost, Happy New Year to you all!!!

Now, if you expect this entry to be a hopeful post for the year 2009, I guess you should stop reading now, hahaha. I’ve tried to make a cheerful post, with lots of hopes and plans that I have for this new year, but … I just couldn’t finish it. Well, for one, it’s probably because I’m not a very optimistic person; and also, I don’t really understand why so many people make a big fuss about New Year. It’s just the time when we have to change our calendar and the time when we have a nice long holiday. (I do love the holiday part though.)

Nevertheless, it feels wrong if I write something else rather than about the new year for my very first post in 2009, so I’m gonna write something about it anyway. If it ends up to be a depressing post … well, I just can’t help it.

What plans do I have for 2009? Well, nothing special really. I’m planning things like I plan them for any other days and I don’t plan much. Too many plans often lead to nothing being done at all. Plus, I’m one of the most indecisive persons in the world, I guess, so having too many plans is just not going to work.

One thing for sure, though, I’m leaving Bali in about 2 weeks, back to my humble hometown. Should I say ‘Yay’? YAY!!! Well, I do feel sad about leaving my work and my friends here, coz’ I love them both. I honestly do, despite one or two things …. But, anyway, being home is going to feel really nice, until I get bored, hahaha. I feel bored really easily, by the way, which is also one of the reasons why long-run planning never works for me.

Hmm, come to think of it, it makes perfect sense … I guess then, my New Year’s hope should be finding something to keep me happy in Bandung, or at least to settle down somewhere.
